Are you booking your clients too far in advance?

When you don’t give yourself and your business time to breathe between projects, you don’t give yourself room to grow.
Unfortunately, booking too far in advance means that you don’t leave time to debrief, and reflect on the successes and failures of a project. It also doesn’t leave you room to continue to nurture a work relationship with those clients as an ongoing partner. It doesn’t allow you to pick up an interesting last minute opportunity (if you so desire), and most importantly… it doesn’t leave you time to breathe. Not to mention those personal projects that have been on the back burner? HA! Forget it.

You don’t need to be “born” an entrepreneur

Not long ago my sister asked me when I knew I was born to be an entrepreneur.

My first reaction was, are you kidding me?

I was NOT born to be an entrepreneur!

There was never an innate driving force in me as a 5 yr old, wanting to selling lemonade at my home-made lemonade stand. I hated doing door to door sales as part of school fundraisers… people genuinely terrified me!

Today is the day I forgive myself for being a night owl.

The last few weeks, or so it seems, I’ve had an incredibly difficult time waking up in the morning. I’ve found myself sleeping until 11am or noon, and even when I wake up, I haven’t felt well rested.
This morning I set my alarm for 8:45am, and hit snooze until about 9:45am. And I didn’t feel well rested.

Perhaps it’s the change in season; not enough sunshine, not enough vitamin D…
